Depth, diameter and cage, confirmed while the bore is still open.
Piers turn up on Riverstone lots where the footing must reach through fill or soft alluvial ground, and on land near the creek lines that flooded in 2021 that is not unusual. Depth is the whole exercise and concrete ends any chance of confirming it. Every photograph on this page was taken at practical completion, not at this stage. They are here because each one is an item that belongs earlier in the build and survived to handover, which is the clearest argument we can make for inspecting when the work is still open.

Under an hour on a typical lot, longer where the pier count is high.
The measured depth goes in beside the required depth, and the remedy belongs to the builder and their engineer.
No. We record against the engineering; certification is an engineer's function.
It weakens the concrete at the base, so recording it means it is pumped out before the pour.
Indirectly. Ground conditions on land that inundates tend to be why an engineer specifies piers in the first place.
